Bandakka Thel Dala (Sri Lankan)

Deviled Okra

1/2 lb Okra
1 tbs Chillie Powder
1 tbs. Maldive Fish
2 medium onions sliced

 

2 tbs cooking oil
1 tsp. of sugar
Salt to taste

Cut the Bandakka into small pieces(3cm). Add chillie powder and salt.

Mix well and set aside. Heat oil in a pan, add the onions and the maldive fish and cook for about 5 minutes.

Add the Bandakka and cook untill they have a ‘fried’ appearance. Then add 1 tsp of sugar and mix for the final touch.
